Subject	Should I buy new valve lifters for my rebuild?

Message	According to this, I f*cked up: "Do not put hydraulic valve lifters upside down" I did not keep them right side up, I did not tag them, I did not keep them submerged in oil, I just tossed them in a ziplock bag, woops. My experienced friend tells me dont worry, no biggie, as long as you submerge them in oil for an hour or two before putting them in. Other guy says I'd be crazy not to put new lifters in while doing a rebuild. What do you all think? New lifters cost about $300? thanks,
